CLIMBING SUGARLOAF MOUNTAIN
Climbing Sugarloaf Mountain (Pão de Açúcar) in Rio is something you must do! Experienced climbers can try Via dos Italianos (The Italian Route), one of the 50 classic routes in Brazil, but even those who have never climbed or are beginners can climb the Sugarloaf Mountain with the help of our climbing guides.
CLIMBING TO CHRIST THE REDEEMER
Corcovado mountain is home of one of Rio’s classic routes: K2, one of the 50 classic routes in Brazil. This route is 150 meters long, and every pitch offers interesting and varied climbing, all with a breathtaking view, since the base of the route is 500 meters above the city. You will understand why rock climbing in Rio is so fantastic!
Hiking or Climbing Pedra da Gavea
Rio’s mountains are impressive! Pedra da Gávea (842m) is the greatest symbol of these mountains and forest. You can ascent Pedra da Gavea in two ways, via a trail with climbing sections or via technical rock climbing routes, in this case, only for experienced climbers.
ROCK CLIMBING ON CANTAGALO
Cantagalo hill is located between Copacabana and Lagoa. Its routes are among the most popular climbing routes in Rio. Some of them are an excellent training and test for climbers thinking about climbing the Italian or Coringa Route on Sugarloaf or the K2 route on Corcovado. It is also a good choice if you are climbing outdoors or multi-pitch for the first time.
