Abaixo estarão as atualizações que recebemos de alguma das 50 vias clássicas citadas na 3º edição do livro. Aproveitamos e lhe convidamos a fazer comentários sobre qualquer uma delas. Você pode dar dicas, sugerir a graduação, comentar sobre a situação dos grampos, sobre a descida, nos informar sobre algum dado impreciso ou incorreto, enfim, o que você achar relevante para melhorarmos os croquis. Below, we describe the updates we have received regarding the 3rd edition of the book 50 classic routes in Brazil. Please, feel free to send your impressions on any of them. You can send us beta, suggest a change of the grade, report on bolts conditions, talk about the rappel, let us know about any imprecision – well, anything we can use to improve the topos. Send us your opinions. They will certainly be useful in our next edition of the book.

VIA 18 – K2 – Corcovado (RJ)
Estão sendo realizadas obras de manutenção e reforço das estruturas de contenção localizadas no final da via K2.
Foi realizada uma reunião entre a FEEMERJ, equipe do Parque Nacional da Tijuca (PNT) e da empresa de engenharia que irá executar o serviço, com objetivo de avaliar as alternativas para o viabilizar a prática da escalada nesse setor durante a execução das obras, que tem previsão de seguir até meados do próximo ano (jun/2026), sendo obtidas as definições a seguir:
1) Não escalar as vias da face sul do Corcovado localizadas entre a via Diretíssima Sul e o Diedro Saint-Exupèry durante os dias úteis (2ª a 6ªf) em função obras. Devido ao risco de queda de algum material e a chegada dessas vias passar no local de interferência das obras. O risco é minimizado nos finais de semana pelo fato de não haver atividades previstas no local da obra.
2) A via K2 poderá ser repetida durante a execução da obra. Contudo, a última enfiada, após o platô de mato, estará interditada. Para acesso ao cume foi aberta, pelos guias da ABGM, uma variante que sai para a direita na última proteção antes do platô de mato. Com extensão entre 30 a 40 m, a variante segue até a última parada da via Macaco Prego, (IV grau a confirmar).
A variante é representada na imagem anexa:
Linha azul: a parte superior da via K2.
Linha vermelha: a parte interditada momentaneamente da via K2
Linha verde: variante ao final da K2. Começa em um diedro com possibilidade de proteções móveis do Camalot .3 ao 2. Segue por 3 grampos até a parada dupla da via Macaco Prego. Logo acima há outra dupla e então segue a trilha ao Cristo.
A FEEMERJ destaca e agradece o apoio da ABGM, em mais uma ação conjunta pelo esporte, e o apoio no esforço de buscar soluções para viabilizar a escalada da via K2, a mais frequentada do Corcovado, durante a fase de execução das obras. (13.11.2025)
Maintenance and reinforcement work is being carried out on the retaining structures located at the end of the K2 route.
A meeting was held between FEEMERJ, the Tijuca National Park (PNT) team, and the engineering company that will carry out the work, with the aim of evaluating alternatives to enable climbing in this sector during the execution of the works, which are expected to continue until mid-next year (June 2026). The following decisions were made:
1) Do not climb the routes on the south face of Corcovado located between the Diretíssima Sul route and the Saint-Exupèry Dihedral on weekdays (Monday to Friday) due to construction work. This is due to the risk of falling debris and the fact that these routes pass through the area affected by the works. The risk is minimized on weekends because there are no scheduled activities at the construction site.
2) The K2 route may be repeated during the execution of the work. However, the last pitch, after the ledge, will be closed. To access the summit, the ABGM guides have opened a variant that branches off to the right at the last protection point before the last ledge. Extending between 30 and 40 meters, the variant continues to the last belay station of the Macaco Prego route (grade 5.8/5a, to be confirmed).
The variant is shown in the attached image:
Blue line: the upper part of the K2 route.
Red line: the temporarily closed section of the K2 route.
Green line: variant at the end of K2. It begins in a dihedral with the possibility of protection from Camalot #.3 to #2. It continues with 3 bolts to the double belay station of the Macaco Prego route. Just above there is another double belay station, and then the trail continues to the Christ the Redeemer.
FEEMERJ highlights and thanks ABGM for its support in yet another joint action for the sport, and for its support in the effort to find solutions to make climbing the K2 route, the most frequented route on Corcovado, viable during the construction phase. (November 13, 2025)
